Church meeting on Sunday 9 January
Please note that there will be a short Church meeting after the morning service on Sunday 9 January 2021, during which the Search Group will provide an update on our vacancy.
Service updates and return to singing
It is encouraging to see restrictions steadily lifting. As a Church, we continue to abide by the rules on public gatherings and will, for the time being, continue with the split congregation approach.
We are excited to say that we will be able to resume congregational singing from Sunday 25 July.
The Deacons will review arrangements again in August and will update the Church as soon as things change.
Communion service on Sunday 6 June
Our time of worship this Sunday morning will be a communion service. Group B will be present in the Church building, with Group A watching online.
Bread and wine will be provided in a COVID-safe way for those in attendance. Please have something prepared if you’re joining us from home so you can also participate.
Our service starts at 11am as usual and will be streamed on our YouTube channel.
Betty Gardner funeral
The funeral service of our sister Betty Gardner will take place on Saturday 15 May 2021 at 9am.
The service at Daldowie Crematorium will have limited attendance due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, but will be streamed live on the day. The video will also be available for 28 days afterwards.

Easter services and return to Church
We have a few special events planned for the Easter weekend, and we’re excited to say that Easter Sunday will see some of the congregation able to attend in person.

Having hoped to return to in-person services, today’s news about a move to lockdown immediately after Christmas also means a return to streaming only services.
This does not affect the service on Sunday 20 December, with Group A still welcome to join us in the building.
We will continue to follow the official advice and inform you as soon as anything changes.
Tier 3 return to Church services
Following North Lanarkshire’s move to Tier 3 of COVID-19 restrictions, the Deacons have decided to open the Church to congregations once more.
The limited number restrictions are still in place, so group A will return on Sunday 20 December, with group B attending the following week. Each group will attend every other week until further notice.
Services will continue to be streamed live on YouTube each Sunday morning. If you’d like to find out more, please contact pastoral@airdriebaptist.co.uk.
Streaming services only for a few weeks
In light of the Scottish Government moving North Lanarkshire (and others) to Level 4 restrictions from Friday 20 November 2020, we have decided to switch to streaming-only services for the next four weeks.
This means that the only people in the Church in the coming weeks will be the speaker, the person leading the service, one musician and members of the AV team. We will monitor the situation and resume in-person services as soon as the situation allows.
We stream our services on YouTube each Sunday morning at 11am. Please join us then!
You can also watch previous services on our channel or listen again on SoundCloud.
Our online Wednesday prayer meetings will, of course, continue on Zoom. All details can be found on our homepage.
Stay safe and we hope to see you all again soon.
