If you were watching the service from Newton Mearns Baptist Church on 24 May, you’ll have heard them mention the start of a new Alpha Online course.

The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the claims of Christianity through open and interactive discussion.

The course being run online by NMBC starts on Sunday 31 May 2020 and will run from 8 – 9.15pm.

Message of thanks from John Cleland

The family and I want to say our heartfelt thanks to the fellowship, leaders and adherents of Airdrie Baptist Church, (many of whom have shared in Ann’s journey over the years) for your kind words, thoughts, deeds and most of all prayers, as we come to terms with her loss. In these trying times we really appreciated this as we missed the fellowship in saying goodbye together from the church she so loved and served over the years.

National Prayer Livestream

Over 700 people joined together for last Sunday’s Baptist Union of Scotland Prayer Livestream, gathering from all corners of Scotland in the midst of the present crisis.

This gathering will now take place every Sunday at 7pm. To join in, visit the Baptist Union of Scotland Facebook page.

This Sunday will include live contributions from the Isle of Tiree and the Borders and we will be joined by Jason Leitch, National Clinical Director for the Scottish Government and a member of Airdrie Baptist Church.

Do please join in and encourage others from your fellowship to take part. In these anxious days it is vital that we press into prayer in unity and faith.

Finances

The Finance Team are encouraging those who don’t give to the church via Standing Order to do so at this time to help us carry on financially.

So that you don’t have to go into the bank, you can set up a standing order online, over the phone or by sending the attached standing order form to your bank.

A standing order is not the same as a direct debit; you are in full control. The bank will only pay the exact amount you choose and you can stop or change the payment amount whenever you want.

To set up a standing order you will need the church’s bank details which are:

Sort code: 82-20-00
Account No: 90111169

Alternatively you can use the attached form and send it to your bank.

Please contact Jo Ramsay or David Clark if you any questions about this at finance@airdriebaptist.co.uk.

We will continue to monitor the situation and respond to further government advice accordingly. We will keep the Church family informed of any other changes here on the website and through our social media channels.
