Heating system

This has now been cancelled due to the snow.

We will hopefully finally replace our heating system w/b Monday 5 March.

During that week all groups and activities hosted at the Church will be cancelled, including:

  • Toddlers
  • JAM

The Youth Fellowship have made alternative arrangements so will meet as usual on Friday at 7.30pm.  For details, please contact Kirsty or Jo.

The Airdrie Foodbank will be hosted at Calderbank Church of Scotland on Friday 9 March and will return to Airdrie Baptist the following week. Continue reading “Heating system”

Silver jubilee

We had the final clinic in Repalle this morning. We have seen 641 people in total and 207 teeth have been extracted! We will go out to villages next week and do clinics there.

Today has been a very special and very busy day at IREF as the degree college is 25 years old. There was a big silver jubilee celebration with dancers, singers, food and many former students coming back to share what they are doing now and receive awards (some of them remembered Jason taking their teeth out when they were very young!). Alistair Hughen Funeral

Alistair Hughen Funeral

A service of Thanksgiving for the life of Alistair Hughen will be held in the Church on Monday 15th January at 1pm, followed by a short service of committal at New Monkland Cemetery.

Please remember all who grieve in your prayers at this time.

Heating system replacement in January

We are upgrading our church heating system the week beginning Monday 22 January 2018.

The replacement will take all week to install and will mean that all groups that meet in the Church during that time will be cancelled, including Toddlers, JAM and the Airdrie Foodbank.

It is hoped that our Sunday services won’t be affected by this work but we will keep people informed of any changes.

Kirsty Lee is our new Youth Worker

We are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Youth Worker at Airdrie Baptist. Kirsty Lee will take up the new role in July 2017 and will be with us two days a week.

Kirsty will work with the Youth Fellowship on Friday nights and will also run the Bible Class on a Sunday morning.

A Livingston native, Kirsty is currently studying Theology at the Scottish Baptist College in Paisley. She hopes to pursue a career in youth work when she completes her course.

We’re sure you’ll join us in welcoming Kirsty to the fellowship.
