Post-operation update

Post-operation update

Ross is enjoying being home and recovering well. He has a meeting at the Southern on Wednesday 8 April at 9am to get results of the scan and tumour analysis. Ross will also get the staples out of his head. He will then meet with the oncologist to discuss the treatment plan.

Once again, the family would appreciate your prayers for good results and wisdom for the doctor and them as a treatment plan is formulated.

Thank you.

Ross surgery update

Our Pastor Ross Murphy underwent surgery this morning at the Southern General Hospital. This was the latest procedure in his ongoing treatment for a brain tumour.

The operation appears to have gone well and by lunchtime he was in recovery and talking to his consultant. So far there don’t seem to have been any adverse effects.

Prayer at Airdrie BaptistThe Church was open three times during the day allowing people to gather in prayer for Ross and others in the fellowship who are unwell.

Please continue to pray for Ross, Deborah, Katie and Grace, as well as their wider families. Thank Him for the successful surgery today and pray for continued positive progress in Ross’ recovery in the coming days.

We will post further updates as we receive them.

Update from Ross

Update from Ross

Taken from the intimation sheet: 22 March 2015

“They go from strength to strength.”- Psalm 84:7

“The promise… still holds good: “The youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.” Fretful spirits sit down and trouble themselves about the future. “Alas!” say they, “we go from affliction to affliction.” Very true, O thou of little faith, but then thou goest from strength to strength also. Thou shalt never find a bundle of affliction which has not bound up in the midst of it sufficient grace. God will give the strength of ripe manhood with the burden allotted to full-grown shoulders.”
