Coronavirus (COVID-19) arrangements

Washing hands

Airdrie Baptist Church has decided to make some changes to our services and groups in response to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. These have been made to help protect the most at risk members of our congregation.

We will continue to monitor the situation and respond to further government advice accordingly. We will keep the Church family informed of any other changes here on the website and through our social media channels.

Tuesday lunchtime services

We have decided to suspend our Tuesday lunchtime service schedule until further notice. That means that the remainder of services this session up until June will not take place.

The majority of those who attend this service are retired, and fellowship over lunch or coffee forms a significant part of this meeting. Due to the increased risk for those over 60 years old, we feel it would be unwise and unfair to continue this ministry at this time.

Toddler Group suspended

Our Toddler Group which runs on a Monday at 10am will be suspended from Monday 23 March 2020. Our last session for the time being will be tomorrow, Monday 16 March.

While we understand that children are unlikely to be seriously affected by the virus, we recognise that many carers (e.g. grandparents) and those who run the group could be.

Future changes

We are investigating ways of delivering our services in new ways that will allow those at home to participate in some way. Our sermons will continue to be available on the website shortly after the morning service each week.
