Sunday at IREF

An early 7.30am start this morning at the Krishna River for the baptisms of young people who have become Christians at this week’s conference. It was lovely to see them take this step of commitment on a warm, misty morning as the sun came up.

There was much excitement when we came back to the orphanage as we dressed in saris for church, helped by the Indian girls to put them on. The boys all wore shirts made by the local tailor.

We sang two songs during the service and Lindsey gave her testimony, which was very powerful. All the young people who had been baptised were presented with a Bible and Jason helped with this.

In the afternoon we packed up things from the clinic to take to an outside village tomorrow. This is a village we’ve never been to before and it is not a Christian village.

Please pray particularly for this clinic and that we will be welcomed and be able to help the people there.

Continue to pray for the young people who were baptised today as they move on in their journey with God.

Pray also for Emmanuel and Dee. They do an enormous amount of work and carry a very heavy burden running this ministry. They do it wholeheartedly and without complaint. They are amazing people.
