Special prayer Tuesday

Tuesday 31 March 2015

Ross MurphyOur pastor Ross Murphy will be undergoing surgery on Tuesday 31 March 2015 in the latest stage of his treatment for a brain tumour.

To coincide with this, the Church will be open that day for a special time of prayer.  There will be three periods of prayer to try and accommodate as many people as we can.

The Church will be open:

  • 10am – 12noon
  • 2 – 4pm
  • 7 – 9pm

All are welcome and encouraged to pray throughout the day and beyond.

We are also hosting a special praise and prayer night this Sunday at 6.30pm in the Church hall to which all are warmly welcomed.

Update from Ross

Taken from the intimation sheet: 22 March 2015

“They go from strength to strength.”- Psalm 84:7

“The promise… still holds good: “The youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.” Fretful spirits sit down and trouble themselves about the future. “Alas!” say they, “we go from affliction to affliction.” Very true, O thou of little faith, but then thou goest from strength to strength also. Thou shalt never find a bundle of affliction which has not bound up in the midst of it sufficient grace. God will give the strength of ripe manhood with the burden allotted to full-grown shoulders.”
